Today was Amaya's 3 month check up. She is now a whopping 12 pounds.( I know.. she's small) Doc said she is average and doing well. She's eating 8oz every 6-7 hours but we decided to cut it to every 4-5 hours during the day and letting her sleep as long as she wants during the night.
We put cereal in her bottle for the first time this afternoon. She did so well on it. She didn't spit up! I was shocked!!! I love my little girl.. she's growing so fast. I really can't believe how fast time is flying right by us.
Hubby is looking about a job tomorrow. A co-worker of my mother's linked him up on it. I am hoping he gets it but at the same time don't want him to because that means i will have to put my little angel in daycare in October when i go back to work... OR i don't go back to work and stay home and that is not what i want to do. As much as i get annoyed at work, i LOVE my job. People think i am nuts because of the shit i have to tolerate, but if that shit wasn't there for me to tolerate then i don't think i would like it as much.. lol
Well, I am probably going to end up putting her in Day Care :( And that sux.
As i type this my little princess is singing along to Jasmine Sullivan. She LOVES her music.
I am so tired. I think tomorrow is going to be a very lazy day and i am going to try to stay in bed as long as Amaya will let me.
My Toshiba laptop broke down on me :( The thing acts ridiculous when i hibernate it so every time i use it i have to shut it down even if i am going to go back on it in 10 minutes. If i close the lid the thing messes up. *Sigh
I bought a new one (well used but new to me) from a friend of mine and i should be getting that on Wednesday / Thursday. Right now i am using our Macbook and i cannot get use to a Mac. I miss my XP Pro. haha

What a lazy day.. I feel so...... BLAH!
Snow is coming down out there and it is freezing!
I have to go out to pick up my best friend in a bit, hopefully the roads aren't too bad when it's time to go.
My baby girl lifts her head during tummy time now. She has been doing it for a while, but she holds it now for a good 2+ minutes. I can't believe how fast she is growing.
People always told me.. make sure you cherish every moment because she will grow up way to fast for your liking. Boy where they right. The first month of motherhood went by so fast and was a blur. I can't even remember the first week of it all because i was so sleep deprived.. lol but i would do it all over again (just not anytime soon.. lol)
My baby will be 3 months old in 8 days!! I still can't believe I am a mommy! It's the best thing in the world...
This weekend will be another girls night out. I actually enjoy some time to chill with the ladies and have a few drinks, i just feel bad that the hubby is stuck home.. i guess it makes up for it when he goes to the gym :)
We are doing dinner and a bar. Not sure how that will work out unless i cab it. HA or be the sober one for the night *rolls eyes*
Tonight's dinner was fried chicken, french fries and macaroni salad. Tomorrow will be Red Pea Soup... again. Hey its super easy, fast and cheap to make so why not right? plus it taste's good!!!
Cat's are still driving me crazy.... i HATE vacuuming the cat hair all the time. I swear they never use to shed. ughhhhhh

Today was a good day. I got so much done (except laundry.. but that will be done tomorrow) I got groceries, came home, cleaned, did dishes, sterlized bottles, studied and then cooked dinner. We had Red Pea soup... It was really good!
My cousin called me this afternoon. She is pregnant and due in June. She told me they went for their anatomy scan and the tech said it's probably a boy but the baby wasn't cooperating so she couldn't be too sure. Well if it is, that is boy #2 for her...I'm happy because that's what they wanted.
My computer is acting up.... something is wrong with the hibernate option so i haven't even been on it that often because it's annoying. Let's hope i can find a good deal on a new one...i can't live without my laptop.. lol
So tomorrow is Wednesday and the hubby has a meeting in the morning so this means as long ans the baby goes back to bed after eating i get to sleep in to at least 12 noon...I am sooooooooo ooking forward to that. I have been exhausted.
Time to bathe, feed an rock the baby to sleep.... it's getting late!

Life has been so busy. I am trying to unpack all my things still... It's a never ending journey. I HATE moving but love my new place!!!!
My baby girl is doing so well. She sleeps all through the night now and gets up when we do in the morning. She is learning how to use her hands too! It's the cutest thing because sometimes she gets soooo excited when she holds something. it's so fun to watch.
The hubby is so good with her. I knew he would be a good father. They are my entire world.
I am going out to dinner with the girls tonight. It;s going to be the first time since Amaya was born that i am going out. I know she will be fine with daddy but i cannot believe i am going to leave her. Hopefully she sleeps the entire time so she doesn't know i am gone.. lol
We are going to Mandarin. One of my most fav restaurants. It's an all you can eat Chinese food. They have the best Won Ton soup EVER..... I think Crab legs are also in the buffet offerings tonight too!!
My Cats are driving me nuts. Not so much the older one but Ziggy is acting out big time. Since we brought the baby home he has been acting different. He howls all night long (yes howls like a dog) and then tries to sleep in her stroller which is folded up in the closet. He is acting SOOO weird and i hope he gets out of it soon.
The older one is not that bad but he has been trying to go into her room when he knows that room is off limits. I think he just now got the hint that i am serious.. lol
We'll see how dinner goes tonight!! Hoping i can enjoy it and not stress too much about being out!

January 1, 2011- Happy New Year!!!
So today is January 1st and i am going to start making better decisions with everything.. NO MORE CHOCOLATE, more excersise and less stress!
I am not going to let the small things bother me anymore and i am going to set a good example for my daughter.
I already quit smoking when i found out i was carrying that little bugger so that was scratched of my 'Things to do in 2011' list.
I cooked yesterday and today! I am so tired of eating out. plus we need to save money. Today's dinner was oxtail, white rice and fried plantain. It was yummy and i cooked it in my new slow cooker i bouht at Costco the other day. My husband, our daughter and myself sat infront of the television and welcomed in 2011 together. It was such a great feeling! I hope 2011 is our year! I hope things look up for my hubby with his Real Estate and he sells some houses! He worked so hard to get where he is and hopefully now his hard work will pay off. I love him so much!
So all in all i had a great start to my new year with my little family.
